About Us
Infant Swimming Resource
As parents, we‘re diligent about installing and buckling car seats correctly. We ensure medications and chemicals are locked up and out of reach. We insist on helmets, watch for choking hazards, and discuss stranger danger. But, do we give that same attention to water safety? Drowning is preventable!
Founded in 1966, ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) is proud to be the nation’s leader in aquatic survival instruction. The ISR program is the most comprehensive drowning prevention program in the world, providing infants and children with the skills necessary to save themselves should they reach the water alone. Once children have become fully skilled in self-rescue (floating or swim-float-swimming depending on age/skill appropriateness), stroke lessons and swim team prep are next up on tap.
In addition to teaching in-water skills in a loving and gentle environment, ISR Austin swim lessons also build confidence, teach persistence, give children a healthy respect for the water, and provide caregivers with invaluable peace of mind.
